On the day of the surgery, you should not have any cold symptoms, fever, or menstruation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smoking, in addition to other harmful effects, causes abnormalities in wound healing. In particular, smoking lowers the resistance of the nose, throat and lungs to bacterial infections and increases the risk of surgery. It is advisable to give up tobacco products at least two months before a planned surgery.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least 24 hours must have passed since the last alcohol consumption on the morning of the surgery. Alcohol can be dangerous when combined with the medications being administered.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During general anesthesia, the stomach must be empty. It is forbidden to eat for at least six hours and drink for at least four hours before the operation. Chewing gum causes the stomach to fill with secretions and is therefore forbidden for at least two hours before the operation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wash your hair the night before surgery. Do not use hair dye, hairspray, or any other after-care products. Do not use makeup, perfume, or facial creams on the day of surgery. It must be 2-3 weeks since your facial skin was cleansed by a beautician.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make it easier to get dressed after surgery, the clothes you wear to the hospital should be buttoned in the front and not pulled over your head. When you go home, appropriate clothing (hood, hat, scarf) and sunglasses will help to hide the facial bandages, possible bruising and swelling.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bring personal hygiene items, considering that you will have to spend one night in the hospital.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before surgery, remove your watch, rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Put them in your bag to prevent them from getting lost.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To get home, prefer to travel with the help of a trusted car owner, relative or friend instead of taking a taxi. It is taped to the face. The splint is usually worn for 10 days. Removing the splint on your own is prohibited. If the tape securing the splint comes loose, you will need to cut off the loose tape at home and replace it with a new one.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The removal of stitches after nose surgery is done according to the nature of the surgery and the individual healing process. The usual time frame for removing external stitches is 7-10 days after the procedure. For internal stitches, a special dissolvable thread is used, which is absorbed by the body spontaneously within 2-3 weeks.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You should not blow your nose for 7 days after the surgery.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crusts and thick secretions should not be removed with your fingers or by sniffing. This can lead to complications. To remove crusts, the nose should be rinsed with physiological solution or a saline solution intended for this purpose. Saline sprays available from pharmacies, such as Quixx, are also suitable.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you wear glasses, they should not be placed on your nose for a few weeks. After removing the nasal mask, secure the glasses to your forehead with a patch. Contact lenses can be worn from the 10th day after surgery.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited for 14 days because they inhibit wound healing.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alcohol is prohibited for at least 2 weeks after surgery, as it can cause bleeding, slow wound healing, and increase the risk of complications. In addition, alcohol can interfere with the effectiveness of post-operative medications.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smoking is prohibited for at least 2-3 weeks after surgery. Smoking significantly slows down the healing process, impairs blood supply, and increases the risk of infection. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunbathing, saunas, and nasal colds can cause complications and are therefore not recommended. The risk period lasts about half a year.
